About The Inventor: Angela Shipp,
List maker extraordinaire
Angela Shipp used to be the queen of to-do lists. Yellow sticky notes, crumpled up pieces of paper and duplicate calendars for home and work littered her desk, home office, kitchen, even her car!
As a corporate communications professional for more than twelve years, Angela has learned to balance a demanding career and a chronic illness. She has maintained her health while balancing work and social activities. She even picked up a few awards and took some continuing education classes along the way. During times of stress and illness, she learned what information would be important to share with her doctor and nutritionist on the path to wellness. Angela developed the bluehealer® diary because she wanted to share her personal strategies for work/life balance with others in hopes of helping them organize a chaotic schedule while trying to maintain a healthy life style.
Angela is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in publication management. She is also a 2006 graduate of Leadership Cobb and obtained Certified Cooperative Communicator designation from the NRECA. She has devoted her time to several civic and charitable causes, including the Association of Utility Professionals, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, the YWCA of Northwest Georgia and the Tommy Nobis Center. She was also named a 2007 Tribute to Women of Achievement honoree by the YWCA of Northwest Georgia. Angela is married and has one furry child, a daschund/schnauzer mix named Skyy.
