Esther grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to California after graduating from Kent State University with a degree in Marketing and International Business. After moving to California, she began her professional career working in a variety of key roles in the non-profit and business sector.

Working for a non-profit organization planted the seeds of entrepreneurship for Esther as she began to recognize her gifts for developing and implementing programs from scratch. Esther's passion for community service lead her to her next role as a Program Associate for the Foundation Consortium for Children and Youth where she supported the Executive Director and Board of Directors in establishing a statewide family resource program. She developed additional hands-on experience in program implementation, public policy, communications and marketing.

Walking the hills of San Francisco in fashion with high-heels quickly proved to be a painful endeavor for Esther's feet. Armed with the business skills she gained from working in both the non-profit and corporate arenas, Esther founded the Flip Slip Shoe Company to solve that problem. Her debut product, Flip Slips, are the world's first foldable, self-containable Mary Jane Flats that can compactly fit in a purse or a pocket without getting it dirty.  Flip Slips are ideal for high-heel wearers wanting to preserve both their shoes and feet during heavy foot commutes throughout the day.

Esther is an avid traveler, having backpacked over 30 countries across 5 continents (so far). Always planning the next trip and loves to interact with fellow travelers. Her passions are yoga, cooking and eating exotic foods from all over the world, designing shoes, business development, health and utilizing invention and entrepreneurship to create positive social change.
