Hello, my name is Sharon Barber, inventor and designer of the Sharon Barber line of patented transformable purses.  SB KIDS and SB WOMEN styles are available with interchangeable wraps and accessories to Dress Your Purse for FUN or to suit your style or mood.

I love purses, but changing the contents from purse to purse was such a hassle.  Always in a hurry, I usually didn't move everything when I changed purses.  There would be bits and pieces of "stuff" left in all of them.  There were 10 pens in there somewhere, but I had to dig and dig to find 1.  Sound familiar?

Originally I designed a purse liner to allow me to move my contents from purse to purse, but that didn't work because purses are different sizes and compartments interfered.  Then I realized that I needed a base and change the outer appearance.  Since this was going to be "my last purse" I wanted every feature possible to make life easier for me.

After MANY experiments, I carried my first prototype out into "the world" in 2001, and received compliments the first day.  That was on appearance alone.  As I continued to carry it people were curious and began to ask how it worked.  They were amazed at the functionality and features.

With the encouragement from family and friends, The Sharon Barber line was created and in 2002 a provisional patent was filed and eventually was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,246,643 in 2007.
